Claire Hapke

I was raised in San Diego, California.  After high school I attended Boston University and received my Bachelor of Arts in Art History. I then received my Masters from The California School of Professional Psychology.  I began my work as a therapist by providing counseling services in a domestic violence shelter and at a community center serving clients from all walks of life in Los Angeles.  After receiving my PsyD in Marriage and Family Therapy, I moved to Brooklyn, NY to open a private practice (and get a dog, of course). I began teaching as an adjunct professor at NYU’s Steinhardt School, and have loved engaging with the newest energy in the mental health field. In 2021, Terry LaFrazia and I started a group practice to support new clinicians in navigating the field and launching their own practice. Say hello to Interweave Therapy!

When I'm not working, I like to ride my bike and cook recipes I've never tried before (soups are my favorite).
